Instead of getting a Krug or a Leddy or a Saad or a Faulk at the time, would you have preferred him to just say welp the windows over sell everyone?

Everyone hands out NTCs when they're in a competitive window. It's how you keep the AAV down.

Are you wanting him to trade a lotto 1st and a Stancl for a Brandon Carlo this year at the deadline? Or a Brock Nelson? Because I sure as shit didn't want him to do that.

What realistic opportunity did he have at this deadline that could improve the team without severely paying for it in futures that would help the team positionally, or who could've he sold - and how do you approach that with the rest of the team?

Has it leaked anywhere what the actual offer from Toronto was for Schenn? Interesting to know if Army got his price.

Hoping there was a last minute trade call with us involved but looks like a big nada today.

McKenzie said it, but it was basically said that Schenn indicated that he wouldn't waive, don't think it was confirmed there was an accepted deal, just an assumption that Army wouldn't go to Schenn, unless he had an accepted deal.

Minten was traded in Carlo deal, so I'd assume they at least offered 1st+Minten.

Mackenzie said when the Laughton deal was done that Laughton was their 2nd choice. They wanted Schenn but he wouldn't waive at that point. He didn't say their was a deal.

Another poster said Burke said that a Schenn to Toronto deal was being finalized on NHL radio. Put together, it seems Schenn nixed a deal, or at least nixed negotiations when they were close to a deal.

Very logical to realize DA isnt going to Schenn unless he has an offer in hand. And his ask was big. Minten and a 1st a full year out doesnt check the boxes.
