Frederic would be a 4th liner here long-term. He needs to prove last season wasn't a fluke to be a legit top 9 forward.
A fourth liner who brings physicality and can play up in the top 9 when needed is exactly what we've been missing since Barbashev was traded.Frederic would be a 4th liner here long-term. He needs to prove last season wasn't a fluke to be a legit top 9 forward.
Back in what capacity? I saw the video. I didn't watch it. I was a bit disgusted by him being highlighted on the Blues YouTube. Looked like a puff piece, not an announcement he is joining the team.
My guess for when he joins the team is that the lines will look like this
Buchnevich-Thomas-Bolduc
Holloway-Schenn-Kyrou
Neighbours-Sundqvist-Snuggerud
Joseph-Faksa-Torpo/Walker
Not a great idea to just shuffle all the lines rather than sticking with the ones that have barely lost any games since the break. Snuggles is gonna have to wait his turn.
Absolutely sickened that we’re welcoming him back in any capacity. He was part of one of the single biggest scandals in recent NHL history, prioritized winning over doing the right thing.
Not a fan of this at ALL.
I just don’t think they’ll have Bolduc and Snuggy on the same line. Neighbours can fill Joseph’s role on the third line and then some, and Bolduc has been on fire since the break.
I get what you're saying but breaking up 3 of our 4 lines just to rush a rookie into the lineup seems like a really bad idea to me. All 4 of our lines finally appear to have found chemistry and now we're gonna change everything? Snuggy can wait. We don't need him in the lineup right now. Hopefully he's willing to play in the AHL until the time is right.
After what Boston fans had to say, he's much closer to a Toropchenko than a Barbashev. I'll still take him at a reasonable deal, but I do feel he gets overrated quite a bit.A fourth liner who brings physicality and can play up in the top 9 when needed is exactly what we've been missing since Barbashev was traded.
I wouldn't go to the bank, but: Strickland evidently said on his podcast that Parayko will be back before the end of the season. Implication being he's ahead of schedule, which...I'm not so sure about. Parayko was fairly ginger Sunday at the ceremony. If the Blues make the playoffs, is parayko back?

I wouldn’t be shocked if Joseph gets sat to keep the 4th line together, but I’ve just loved his game for the past month or so. In that case it’d be 2 out of 4, but Bolduc is deserving of a promotion, and I don’t think Snuggy is gonna NOT be in the lineup.
All of this is pretty much a moot point if Minnesota goes on a run in the tournament though. There’d only be a game left if they make it to the final.

I could be wrong, LGB...tq....alphabet.....Snuggerud is not going to start in the AHL or on the 4th line. I do think when he joins the team this year there will be a dilemma of where to play him since everything is clicking so well. Wouldn't be surprised for him to start off as an extra forward just learning the system and getting in some NHL practices until they figure out where in the top 9 to plug him in.

Why do you say that? Because of the Tkachuk thing? I'd say he's generally pretty reliable, especially on issues related to the Blues.
