What a gutsy win for the Huskies in essentially a must-win game. It looked like more of the same through the first 10 minutes, but they battled back to tie the game at two and then got the GWG with 11 seconds left to even up the series.

I actually changed the stream over to OUA TV after Les AIgles made it 2-0 in the first 11 minutes.
Great to see we will have two games in Halifax.

Maybe I could have made it … lol

Longest AUS women’s hockey game in history fourth longest CIS women’s game .

I don't follow women's hockey very closely but I've noticed the games are usually low scoring. They've also had some marathon overtimes in the past few years. They really should consider going to 4 on 4 in the first overtime. If there's no goal then go to 3 on 3 in the second overtime. IMHO

I think it’s partially the goalies are better than the skaters .

Rhyah Stewart is playing in the MHL , Shannon Szabados played men’s ACAC and the SPHL , Lesley Reddon at UNB.

I have yet to see a female skater who could play in any of those leagues , I don’t mean that as a knock on them at all but goalies are essentially playing a different sport than everyone else and it’s not one that requires a great deal of strength .

I don’t say this to discredit them whatsoever , I’ve been on the ice with ex pro’s , junior players etc and the best hands I’ve been on the ice with belonged to an NCAA Div.1 female player but they just don’t shoot the puck nearly as hard and aren’t nearly as fast (despite being very skilled mechanically) which I’m sure leads to the low scoring .

I feel like I’m about to dig myself a hole comparing men’s and women’s hockey so I’ll see myself out haahaha

Out of the 112 regular season games this year, something like 30 went to overtime.

One again Sam Richard gets snubbed by the AUS. At least he made the second team this year.

And just because Charlie Callaghan made the FISU team (and was among the lowest minutes of the d-men there ) does not make him a first-teamer in my book. Yes, he deserved to be on the all-rookie team last year, but he was -16 this seaon compared to -2 last season, and had no game winning goals compared to 3 last year. They must have only looked at points, because Conner Olson is a better defenceman, and it shows in his +19. And if it was points, Busby had far more, but he ended up on the 2nd team. Very suspicious.

Part of the continuing anti New Brunswick bias in the voting. UPEI and StFX go out first round yet they manage to snag six of the all-star and all-rookie spots. Moncton gets two, and it's the same guy - Darveau.
And as far as I am concerned, Henry and Pearson got on the FISU team because of...ahem...Co cough cough..ch...And they just carried it over to the allstars
