One again Sam Richard gets snubbed by the AUS. At least he made the second team this year.

And just because Charlie Callaghan made the FISU team (and was among the lowest minutes of the d-men there ) does not make him a first-teamer in my book. Yes, he deserved to be on the all-rookie team last year, but he was -16 this seaon compared to -2 last season, and had no game winning goals compared to 3 last year. They must have only looked at points, because Conner Olson is a better defenceman, and it shows in his +19. And if it was points, Busby had far more, but he ended up on the 2nd team. Very suspicious.

Part of the continuing anti New Brunswick bias in the voting. UPEI and StFX go out first round yet they manage to snag six of the all-star and all-rookie spots. Moncton gets two, and it's the same guy - Darveau.

Olson is the most underrated player in the conference …
It’s the same in the NHL with the Norris , it’s become a scoring contest for defenceman , Charlie McAvoy is never going to win a Norris because he doesn’t score enough .

Couple of things - I think voting is done before the playoffs and, as I've said many times in the past, there are deals made.

You need to get away from the "world hates UNB" mindset. There will always be picks that I may not agree with, but no one asked me. Fans will always second guess everything.

You picked your All-UNB teams earlier. Be happy with that.

What I was getting at was those teams weren't that great, so how did so many of their players get picked over better players at better teams, such as SMU and UdeM?

Could be that he is on a very good team where the Goalie is on a good team playing a more difficult position?

Excellent crop of rookies in this year's CW. The Bisons had a good crop, especially Skyler Bruce (15-16-31), but the three forwards they picked were all just ahead of him in scoring. If all that talent sticks around, it would be a boon to the league.

Axemen played the type of physical game they needed to. Along with great goaltending the games are going to be closer than many fans expected.

As a UNB fan I’m not worried about winning the series but the possibility of injuries resulting from big hits the Axemen are dishing out.

As the broadcasters mentioned several times last night…the Axemen need to get more shots on net. Less than 20 isn’t going to cut it….and I think five of those came in the first five minutes/after their first power play.
