Did Florida lose anyone?

Montour was it.

Montour, OEL and someone else I might be missing

Going out:
Tarasenko (Detroit)
Okposo (retired)
Cousins (Ottawa)
Lorentz (Toronto)
Stenlund (Utah)
Lomberg (Calgary)
Montour (Seattle)
Ekman-Larsson (Toronto)
Mahura (Seattle)
Stolarz (Toronto)

Coming in:
Nosek (New Jersey)
Greer (Calgary)
J. Boqvist (Boston)
Entwistle (Chicago)
Schmidt (Winnipeg)
Jaycob Megna (Chicago)
A. Boqvist (Columbus)
Driedger (Seattle)

Somewhat significant downgrade on paper. Tried and true 3-4 liners and one defensive pair replaced with scrubs. Stolarz was a great backup last season so remains to be seen if Knight or Driedger can provide the same this season. In addition Samoskevich, Gadjovich and Balinskis likely promoted to main squad full time.

Sens being able to re-up Ullmark to only a 4 year contract is a huge win.

It's a massive risk to re-up him BEFORE the season starts. There's a pretty good chance that they find out that their goaltending was only PART of their problems and their defense isn't nearly as good as they think it is.

Not saying he's not an upgrade on what they had - just saying there's no benefit to doing this right now. He wasn't going to earn MORE than the $8.25M he got for the next 4 years in say 2-3 months and that's IF it works out as they hope.

More bad management from the sens lol...

Woll is hurt AGAIN?

You gotta jettison this guy. You can't hope and pray a guy who has had an absurd amount of injury problems will magically be healthy at the most important time of the year.

all.kinds but these goalie ones are bad.

Teams could have an Ullmark / Daccord tandem or have a Mack/ McDavid instead.
No one will really be running a tandem like that. There are some high dollar ones due to different circumstances, but Ottawa will probably top out around 10-11m on their tandem. Even if Grubi/Daccord won't be that level of money if Grubi isn't bought out.

Still it isn't a one or the other situation. The vast majority of teams don't have the ability to even have MacK/McDavid. Those players don't reach UFA often (or ever) so the ability choose on that is nonexistent.

Like 25 other teams
There are probably 25 teams with a better situation in net than the Avs.

It was so funny when the Oilers started off last year with a horrid record. The stuff after that wasn't so enjoyable.

Hope for plenty of Leaf land drama this year.
