Couldn't disagree more. Bouchard is skating towards Myers having one hand on his stick and the other hand having taken his mouthguard out. I think it's VERY obvious he was going to say something to Myers about the high hit he just threw on the boards rather than attacking him.

There was zero reason to cross check the guy in the face.
There may come a time where you might have to admit to yourself that you love the loilers...

There is ALWAYS reason to cross-check bouchurd in the face

Shocker. Dude just isn't an ideal NHL'er. If he completely revamps his game he can maybe carve out a longer career, but he isn't a top 6 guy.
He ain’t a bottom sixer either. He’s a wildly inconsistent complementary scoring winger. Probably would tear it up in the minors though.

I wonder if Conor Garland has people screaming at him all the time walking down the street, or constant road rage incidents?

Something about that guy just seems to piss people off. Always getting blown up with hits. MacKinnon throwing helmets at him. McDavid cross checking him in the head. Guy takes so much abuse.
Oh he most definitely brings it on himself. Dude is a poor man’s Marchand (though the gap between them is substantially less than it used to be).

The wildcard race in the East is going to be a bloodbath

Parity is good for the game

I mean chances are he isn't even able to change his style of play enough to be a bottom 6'er. But some guys have been able change their game up enough to stick around as bottom 6'ers. But not sure he has the skillset or willingness to change up his mindset to do it.

Sure, but what I see are mostly bad hockey teams.

Ottawa, an inconsistent team that should be better than what they are but regularly disappoint.

Columbus, arguably the worst roster in the league somehow in a playoff spot.

Montreal, a bad team with like 2 good defensemen and a bunch of passengers up front(Dach, Newhook, Slavkovsky, Anderson, etc.).

Boston and the Rangers, who apparently the sky is falling and having miserable seasons yet still in the mix because of how bad everybody else.

I don’t know. I know it keeps fans interested because almost anybody is competing for a playoff spot, but realistically none of these teams are anything more than quick 4-5 game eliminations in the first round.

He has never displayed the hockey IQ necessary to make that sort of change. It really astonished me how even just picking the angle of attack when forechecking wasn’t just a given, because he did it wrong SO OFTEN. So…no, a guy who struggles to understand even the basics of the grind game cannot expected to be a grinder. He’s either a scorer or he’s nothing.

I honestly thought Newhook would have an NHL career as a winger. I din't think he'd be a world beater but I figured he'd still have a fairly decent length career for mid tier winger. It appears I was wrong and he's probably more like a taller Rocco Grimaldi. He'll probably be a freaking superstar everywhere he plays but the NHL.

Habs have something with this kid. Sens have a good one aswell.
Small sample size but when your name gets mentioned in a sentence with Ken Dryden that's pretty special. I feel Cale has more or less lived up to being talked about next to Bobby Orr, it would be incredible if Montreal has found a long term starter to anchor and build around.

This isn’t even the best Habs goalie prospect.

Jacob Fowler will rule them all.
