EP is the player you think Cozens is.

Whether he's puting or he's injured we don't know, but you're clearly getting fooled by the score sheet here. If he plays in Buffalo like he plays in Vancouver he's not going to be a 67 point player anymore.
No, he definitely is not because at least Pettersson is still producing like a top six forward while looking bad.

Cozens is awful. Truly awful.

IDK where else to put this.

Pretty cool mask

Maybe in the Colorado Eagles thread, the team Miner plays on?

I'm happy with Blackwood but I'd really want to know what the Preds were asking from the Avs for Askarov.
Probably similar package they got from San Jose. A forward prospect(Ritchie) goalie prospect (Annunen) and a conditional 1st

Seems a lot to give up. Although watching him right now vs Oilers, he might be worth it. He’s killing it

It's not a lot if/when Askarov becomes the next Carey Price and Ritchie tops as a middle 6 center/winger. Annunen is garbage and a conditional pick is not much.

The only potential issue is Askarov might need a year or two in the NHL before reaching cup material goalie and the Avs don't really have those extra years in their window.

Still, we've seen top end goalies like Hasek and Price bringing meh teams to Stanley cup finals so...

Also we could have traded for Askarov last summer and then later still make the Georgiev for Blackwood swap top take care of this year's playoff run.

You’re probably right. He’s playing lights out right now against the Oilers. He’s probably worth that price. The only issue is, if we got Askarov and he reached his potential, Avs couldn’t afford him. He’s gonna be like a 10+ mill goalie

Probably more than what they got from San Jose since Colorado is in the division. I don't believe that should ever matter but we know for a fact some NHL teams do not want to trade key players within the same division. I remember when Cory Schneider got traded to New Jersey, the Canucks asked for more from the Oilers than they did from NJ as a "division tax" and Edmonton said no.

I would imagine they'd ask for Ritchie + 1st + either a roster player or another prospect rather than Annunen.

I don’t think Askarov would be the right move for the Avs. The timeline when Askarov reaches his full potential doesn’t fall within Avs contention window. When he reaches his potential, Avs will probably start to decline, as the core ages. I think Blackwood is what we needed. He’s the right age, already in his prime

Sharks just couldn’t prevent it could they. They gonna ruin this goalie performance by Askarov, unless they win it in OT or shootout

Yup Oilers win
