I know he doesn't deserve it but Georgiev not even making that list is a statement about the org's commitment to goaltending. Even Jake Allen makes more than our starter.

To be fair I'd rather have Fourgiev at his price than some of the shite on that list. Cal Petersen for f*** sake

Yup. At least we got one, a lot of fans never get to see their team do it.

Yep, and I was in a pretty dark place at that time to the point where I wouldn't have even bothered watching had it gone to a Game 7. So grateful they wrapped it up when they did.

It’s really tough to know what Anaheim is doing.

Are they showcasing Gibson? Or is he their starter?

He’s started 8 of the last 12 games and 6 of the last 8.

Not that I think Trouba would make their team much better but it sucks that players openly don't want to go there. You know that this shit creates a snowball effect too in a league where players love to compare themselves to the next guy. "If it's not good enough for him it's not good enough for me" kind of mentality.

How are they supposed to be competitive in an environment where free agency is obtained at a fairly young age and a good chunk of players don't want to play there?

I think it's showcasting. Gibson doesn't match their timeline, Dostal does and has done extremely well this season. Playing Gibson doesn't make sense, other than showing other teams what he can do.

Winning solves a lot of issues. When they start to do that they will be seen as a more preferable destination. A good coach and few decent moves from the GM would be enough to make them a playoff team.

Of course it doesn't help when you have to live in Ohio.

They're the real deal, Strome is playing really well and they're deep with some grit and a good blueline.

Well coached
Pfft
Defend this in a month.

Which they should TBH. Players should be praying to play for them, and if they don't? get the f***out. It's f***ing New York.
Are you 12?
Have you no memory of the Rangers up until around maybe Dubinsky? Just whatever big name Sather liked?
Worked well!

What I'm saying is that NY should be the #1 destination for players in the league. Vegas, Florida teams and Toronto might cut it, but NY should absolutely be up there.
