This is the first time all year he’s had anything amounting to a deep and healthy squad, but he has taken many lumps on this board. I don't think so, going through the best teams mean you will be so bruised up when you get to the finals. Look at the Panthers two years ago against Vegas. They went through the gauntlet and came out losing 92-1 in the final game, embarrassed, and every single one of their star players injured. Dallas last year, went through Vegas and us; emotionally and energy drained to give a free pass to the Oilers who didn't deserve to be in the finals. We all know that Stars were the better team last year in that Conference Finals series. I am all for playing the best out of the best, but Stanley Cup playoffs are no joke. That's why we're obsessed with them.
