Goalie goal... Kinda.

I don't know about that. It would be like a Russian team signing a 22 year old NHL star RFA to a HUGE contract in the summer when his entry-level contract is up but he hasn't signed his 2nd deal yet - and suggesting that the NHL team didn't hold his rights - so they should bend over and take it?Fair? What do you mean lose a player?
They don't own the player's rights if he isn't under contract and you can't "lose" something you don't have.
That's extorsion, pure and simple.
This Canes team sucks. They're not going anywhere. It's gonna be hilarious when Rants walks on them.
They need to upgrade their goaltending
Yeah, they probably peaked too early and they are struggling now. Not looking good.Honestly they need help in several areas. Burns-Orlov look awful. Goalies are bad. On offense, they just don't have any gamebreakers and that includes Rants.

Jost playing as a third line center. Yikes.
Interviewing Herb Kirkstriet is far worse. Not even showing the game so they can talk to him about his dog that he takes everywhere.
Absolutely. Ref looking right at it, makes no call.Looked like a high stick on Danforth
Mikko erases his beautiful assist with a brutal goalie interference penalty in the final minute. The Canes look like ass
Also, gonna be honest, it was a really good ending. Who gives a f*** about CBJ and the ded thingsIt wasn't just any regular season game. It was #5 vs #6 in the SEC, and came down to the last shot of the game. The ratings for that will be way higher than this outdoor regular season NHL game.
The optics look bad for the NHL, not for ESPN. If the NHL doesn't want that to happen, then they need to move the game to TNT, or get a better deal with ESPN that mandates the game, and pregame, be shown in its entirety.
Sucks for hockey fans, but that's the reality of where the NHL sits on the sports priority list.
