I’m not saying Miller is a saint, or a great locker room guy and stuff, but EP seems to have his own issues too. They both have attitude problems

I think there's a difference between one guy who seems to be a bit of a grump and one guy who's had a long-established rep for butting heads with teammates, coaches, and management, is generally regarded as an pompous ass, and has now had two very public feuds with two stars on his current team, one which led to the departure of one player, and one that may very well lead to the departure of the remaining two.

I'm not expecting everyone to get along great, strictly speaking I think MacKinnon has some attitude problems himself. But I'll take a chance on Pettersson before I'd let the guy who is a continual disruptive presence both on and off the ice in the room.

If he ever shows up here again it'll be an offseason PTO. He's making Manson money and signed for next year. Even with retention I think we'd all lose our mind for that to be a use of cap space.

Manson might be the scariest. He genuinely wants to hurt people he fights.

Manson does this because he is fighting for his team. He doesn't start fights. He begins them if he feels someone has hurt a team-mate. And he fights the guy like they killed his teammate.

How did the Kraken beat us in the playoffs? They’re so bad

I don't want to take anything away from the Kraken. That team was built to be nothing but a giant pain in the ass to play against. There was no real stand out talent. Just guys that slipped into your shorts with you and gave you absolutely no room. There is a lot to say for a team that can play that way.

However, the Avs beat themselves in 22/23. Yes Nuke is a HUGE part of that, but again, that's on the Avs not due to Seattle.

Brother, the Avs 2nd line that round was Nieto - Compher - Rodrigues, and Lars Eller was routinely the extra attacker late in games lmao.

There's a very good reason why we lost to Seattle.

I have a feeling I'm about to get destroyed in comments but the biggest reason you failed to mention. We had no heart, no will, no compete. We had some serious shitstorms blowing through and things were rough... but the guys left in the locker room playing? It's really hard for me to say they were giving it their all. Don't get me wrong, they did "okay considering the circumstances". Bullshit...these dudes were one year away from lifting the Cup. If that was everything they had they should've quit that summer. I'm glad they didn't though. And like I said, it's hard to blame them from a human perspective. People can only take so much shit before they start to shut down in spots.

Partially, but I think that's also just who he is. He gets his wires crossed every once in a while. Maybe you knew some guys like that in the Navy?

You can see it in his face too. He's got a "don't f*** around with me" face.

I remember after one of his first games with the Avs, Manson went kinda crazy on a guy, and his former teammate Kevin Bieksa was saying on HNIC that he knows Josh, and when he gets mad he just sees red and wants to hurt someone.

Almost every game since then, it's only confirmed that to be true for me.

Fair enough. Personally I don’t think Miller is all that bad as far as off the ice, and our leadership group would keep him under control, but I respect your opinion
