2024 18th Overall Sacha Boisvert

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Ooof, WMU is ND's kryptonite. Boisvert not good again, -3 with 1 shot on goal. Tenacious when battling behind the other teams net, just kind of there and always a second late when he mans the slot.

Had a great year so far this year. His 5 on 5 play needs some work but his shot is lethal. Plays hard and physical.

Had this beauty tonight.

There’s a 25-30 goal 2C in there somewhere. Shift to shift consistency is going to be the big focus point moving forward (like it is for basically all young power forward types).

I really hope this is the answer to missing out on Knies in the Hagel trade

Does he project a center of more of a wing?

I guess another year at least in college, than AHL time is probably the timeline?

Do not see much playmaking...T shot is indeed llethal ..If he gets a set-up Center and used as a shooter and power winger then we cou have a useful talent..I do notcthink his skating will ever be at great speed nor his agility and edges be that improved..but a skatibg coach Can improve him power skating by gettibg more explosion from the legs..If he does that power forward who can beat goalies with his pro level shot is an asset we need in our team mix..

We also should understand that he is only the 2C for North Dakota abd tgat they are not a great team deep in talent this season..

He should work his way to a bigger 2C role next season or by his 3rd season there...then we should know if he has developed his game...or not.

He's having a promising Freshman year......he's got some size and with the boxing background, likely some toughness that we won't see in college. But he seems to be trending towards a 2C and that's about all anyone would expect......he probably won't be bad at anything when he gets here....and the Hawks could always use a center like that with Nazar down the road.
