He looked so good last year. He just hasn't done anything to grab the success of which he's capable. He may never.
The early season concussion didn't help. It looks like he never fully recovered from it as he plays way more conservatively against men/bigger opponents. Or maybe he just plateaued.

Either way I've constantly been unimpressed this season.

Really hope he‘s still there at 37.

Hope him and Huston are gonna pair together next year at BU
Dont think he will be, tbh. Pretty sure he goes top 30.

Overall, a much stronger defensive crop than people thought. Reinbacher, Morin, ASP, Wilander, Dragicevic, Simashev, Molendyk, Lindstein, BRZ, Dvorak, Strbak, Gulyayev are all top 40 quality in any drafts.

I would consider trade up then

Bjarnasson with another shot that goes through him. Sheesh.

Willander really looks like the 4th best D in the draft, at worst. Love him.
Willander is so underrated but I get it really since he just recently found his game (and the confidence to go along).

I do wonder about his offensive upside but he's fun to watch and just makes things happen. Has strong fundamentals and every single tool he has is above average (especially his skating/mobility), except for his shot which is close to nonexistent.

I actually find hes not confident at all, and I think thats why he never shoots and doesnt show high level shooting. He plays as a stay at home safe D, but his tools are great. Curious player, if you play the long game, he could be great and his floor is high.

He may not be confident enough to snipe it but I just think that he's just a pass first type of dman. His overall confidence has definitely improved though as he's making plays that he never used to before.

I believe he just realized how good his skating and passing was and decided to define his overall game around it.

Some stats for Canada:

Dragicevic was -5
Bjarnason a .2857 save percentage :help:
D'Aigle a .8235 save percentage

Sweden:

ASP 5 pts - 1g 4a
Stenberg 4 pts - 2g 2a
Wahlberg 3 pts - 1g 2a - thought he looked solid.

Overall, a terrible game by Canada.
Wahlberg is a horse. I would love him after 45. Kind of guy that will probably make the NHL regardless because of how he uses his frame.

Yeah, we need a 1st rounder in that 25-30 range, and a 2nd rounder around 50.

If we give up the 17th OA for PLD, maybe we can ship Dvorak to St. Louis for one of their late 1sts. One of them may be available.

Good call. I've been a fan all season long. He may not be the most creative guy around but he sure plays a strong game (both physically and over 200 ft).

It was one hell of a fluke (well hopefully) from Canada. No one looked good.

They sucked also against Finland early IIRC
