Completely forgot this thing was going on until I saw the Mets playing Venezuela and Nicaragua in Spring Training; then I saw the Czechs qualified ffs, how the hell did that happen? And with a completely domestic based squad, all Czech born outside of Sogard (former A's infielder) who I guess is eligible to play for them

Good turnout as far as players are concerned. This is the first time I've ever followed the WBC haha so thanks Terry Yake for making us aware lol, ur an angel.

I've been scouting some of Team Korea's work prior to the WBC. They've played in exhibition games against NPB teams (Onix a few days ago) and struggled at the shortstop position, losing 4-2.

Korea was disappointing the last 2 WBC and start this one off with an 8-7 loss to Australia.

Does anyone know if WBC requires a passport to play for the team you want to represent like in FIFA? A great number of players on the Mexican roster are actually Americans like Austin Barnes and Taijuan Walker.

I think if you can show that you have eaten in a Mexican or Italian restaurant in the previous 6 months you can qualify for the rosters
