I love Nico and Jack but must admit in my dreams i wish there had been a talent like Bedard available in either of our 1OA drafts.

Bedard’s an absolute freak junior player but I don’t think the gap between him and Jack will be “that” big at the NHL level. Jack’s going to be like a top 5 center and I don’t expect Bedard to end up at like McDavid level

Man, I hate seeing those kids take these games so much at heart. We sometimes forget they're 18-19 years old. They'll be back, and Simon will have plenty to celebrate with us!

Yeah, not so much on Hughes, more on the Nico draft. It was just in general a pretty weak draft in terms of the top talent in consideration for the 1OA (Nolan/Nico). We ofc made the right choice.

Still, Bedard is currently the only player that is McDavid-esque. Time will tell how good he'll end up being, would be surprised if he didnt surpass Nico in production already during his rookie year.

I’d MUCH prefer Philly. They’re going to be a f***ing mess regardless of Bedard. Columbus with a Johnny-Bedard combo and the backend they’re building with Jiricek, Werenski, Mateychuk, Svozil is a strong base of a team

Canada is clearly the best team and it would be a massive disappointment if they lost. The fact that Slovakia pushed them so hard is kind of embarrassing honestly. I mean, credit to Slovakia, but they should not have had a shot in this one.

Simon with a little embrace to Bedard during the handshakes. He looked super down after the goal, but as a good leader he picks himself up and goes to the handshake line like a pro.

We got 2 good ones folks in him and Hughes. Future is bright.

Solid final gam from Nemec apart from the penalties. Was much better along the boards and looked good when given the chance in the ozone.

Overall solid tournament. A couple areas to work on but lots of good in there and was playing a ton of minutes.

Also not sure how is partner who played significantly less than him and was much less impactful got one of Slovakia’s players of the tournament over him.
