The thing with Bedard is there is no chance he can play the way he does in the NHL at 18, so how he adjusts will determine how he does out of the gate. No doubt he has loads of skill and will adjust eventually.

Really unfortunate cause he made some nice passes in the O-zone, created a lot and had some good looks. He's played very well so far.

I see him as a more crafty and speedy Matthews. His release is extremely similar to AM34's.

That's not how Bedard plays now though, hence the adjustment required. He'll need to find new ways to get time and space than he uses now.

I don't know if he'll be better. All I'm saying is that his shot and release remind me of Matthews' and that he looks like a more fluid/speedy skater than Matthews and seems to have better hands. He's the best comparable to me so far.
