Honestly why is Scott taking it so personal? Hudgens isn’t even the hitting coaches! He’s an assistant etc…. Guy is like 80 years old, Scott should be focusing his anger more towards Fat Kirk and Vladdy who seems to not like to hit fastballs anymore.
 
What did he tweet that was political? just the gist of it not looking to discuss it just curious, since its deleted now.

And the Jays are now 0.5 game out of the WC. Great job.

Atkins has turned what once was a promising offensive group into a very poor man’s version of his Cleveland Guardians.

Solid pitching and defense without enough offense to win.

The only good thing about missing the playoffs is that Atkins will hopefully get fired.
 
I was a bit confused as to why the infield fly rule didn't apply to Vlad last night ...

Some very specific conditions are required for the infield fly rule to go into effect.
  1. There must be runners on first and second base, or the bases must be loaded (runners on first, second, and third).
  1. There must be no outs or one out in the inning.
  1. The batter must hit a fly ball or popup (not a line drive), over fair territory, and in the vicinity of the infield. It is not a requirement that the ball not reach the outfield grass. Rather, the umpire must use his judgment as to whether an infielder -- or the pitcher or catcher -- could make the catch using “ordinary effort.”
Now I know. :)

I missed what happened. How did that rule get misinterpreted?

Social Media is like the modern day version of the Salem Witch trials, if you have a stupid opinion or make a stupid comment, you must lose your job, lose your house and family to satisfy the blood thirsty mob... it's f-ing ridiculous... how about we have a mature adult discussion about your stupid opinion but that is not the path we chose ... I misinterpreted it. I thought if a runner was on 1st base the infield fly came into effect but I guess you need at least a runner on 1st and 2nd, there was only a runner on 1st.

I misinterpreted it. I thought if one runner was on 1st base the infield fly came into effect but I guess you need at least a runner on 1st and 2nd, there was only a runner on 1st.

I can't believe this team has MLB leading ERA, and are on the outside looking in today.
 
Jays are 8th in MLB in attendance. Average 37,536 a game. Pretty damn good. Dodgers #1 at over 47k. Damn that organization makes a ton of money, I would bet my house Ohtani ends up going there when he hits free agency

By the way Yankees got their ass kicked again today. 8-1 lol what a cluster f***
