Disgusting. Guys are sitting on the fastball and still getting blown away. Really shows how good Strider's stuff is given he throws essentially two pitches and still racks up Ks like it isn't shit (Fastball/slider combo with a an ever slight changeup appearance 5% of the time)

Yeah, this looks like a case of trying to keep it at 0-0 or 1-0 through 6 and get to their bullpen. They aren’t even close to Strider.

Man Strider throwing fastball up out of the zone has them looking foolish right now.

While far from a professional baseball player i think i can understand why they're chasing it so much. Buck made an interesting point about how Strider has a lower arm angle on his release. It's as simple as the ball is coming out at a different angle and then likely shoots past the top of the strike zone like a rocket.

MLB the show isn't a perfect simulation but there's a few guys with similar motions to Strider that give the fastball way more deception/movement than it actually has.

I already said it but it's beautiful a guy gets so much value off of two pitches.

They did the job, Strider's at 83 through 5 and managed to get a run off him.

Now hammer that bullpen for a couple so Romano doesn't have to come into another 1 run save situation against a good lineup.
