He's the 4th best SS against lefties and the worst SS against righties.

This seems to me like Bo's days off should be planned around lefty heavy opposing lineups as opposed to pitchers.

Edit: This also means that he is playing too deep by a step
I just looked at the other defensive stats today and Bo is solidly mid-pack in every defensive stat except OAA and RAA.

He’s batting .500 with a couple doubles at home?
He’s had 8 abs at home lol. He’s batting .160 on the season with 0 HR and 15ks. He’s worse than terrible. There is zero argument to be had on that.

Because you don't really know baseball like you think you do perhaps?

He put up the stop sign the moment he saw the ball knocked down,, and the Jays have the second lowest amount of times being thrown out at home since the start of 2022 (7).
I’m awfully glad you are always around to correct me bud.:naughty:

If Toronto management listened to all your knee jerk reactions on the Leafs and Jays, we'd be trading 2-3 players a month. Calm down, revisit this after a couple hundred PAs.

As someone who seems to base his opinion on whatever individual event happened most recently, you get why making the "small sample size" argument is hilarious, right?

Also:
8 PA - "lol that's meaningless"
25 PA - "I know everything I need to know about him"

Were you not talking shit about him 8 ABs into the season? lmao
I did a quick search because I thought you were probably right. He was calling for him to be DFA'd after three games. So, at the absolute most, his standard is that 13 PA is enough of a sample size.

On the plus side, if he's good tonight we can start planning to have his number on the Level of Excellence.

My body is ready for a Berrios masterclass and a sweep of the Rays.

Also, Belt is the least of our worries, we've given up almost 70 runs in 13 games. Only 7 teams have given up more, and only Baltimore is a decent team in that group.

I’m sure it was me. So when we’re halfway through the season and Belt is still garbage…: are you gonna say ok we wasted way to much time on this bum? Could have cut the losses much earlier. Don’t forget we missed the playoffs by 1 game. I don’t give a f*** how early it is. That’s a loser mentality. You suck you sit. Easy.

That said if Belt turns it around and that would have to a major turn at this point… I’ll gladly say I was wrong about him.

It always sucks when a team gives a lot of rope to a player who never figures it out. But the problem with making up your mind about a player after three games is that, more often than not, you end up making a ton of really stupid decisions because three games tells you absolutely nothing about a player.

It’s not 3 games but yes it’s still early. I would say the rope has to near its end though. Guys absolutely garbage and shown nothing at all.

The issue isn't if he is bad. Nobody cares, and most of us wouldnt blame the FO for trying and goving him some runway. The issue is that if we didn't give him a chance, and he blew up on a different team, or the fact we treated a respected veteran like shit, dumping him after a handful of bad at bats. He's a perfect fit for the lineup and we have years of data to support the fact he's a fantastic hitter.

He didn't play after like June last year, came off major surgery, and had a really short spring. He was awful to start the year, but it was pretty much expected with how he was coming into it. He's starting to show signs of life, and worst case if he's not what he was, he's just your main lefty off the bench.

I mention three games because that's when you started calling for him to be DFA'd. I expect you felt the same about Marcus Semien and Russell Martin and Jose Bautista, too, which is why patience is important in baseball.

As for him showing nothing... did you watch the last two games?

Jansen needs a major wake up call. 1 for 22 just not gonna cut it. Ever.

Again yes it’s early but early signs are real bad.

Glad Chapman is back. Guys on fire

Jays had 5 games vs Rasmussen last year, no other team had more than 3.

He was 0-3, 2 no decision.

His numbers were pretty good though so must have been brutal run support. One interesting stat though. In 26 innings vs the Jays he only had 12 strikeouts.
