It's literally 5 AB from a guy who has been terrific for a while now.
I thought he has been good the last while, but how much leash do you give a guy in a win or go home game with at bats like that?

He was really good the last while but he was also a struggling every day player before this. If he didnt look really lost yesterday and today and the series was going longer then potentially today, sure give him a longer leash, but this is it...and the two playoff game at bats have looked really bad so far and despite his good stretch he still was struggling to be an every day player the past few seasons. This is not someone they have to keep in to bat today.

Yeah, this is gonna absolutely bite them.

Should've let Berrios run, he was throwing well. Bring in Kikuchi late in the game as a super-reliever to get out the lefties, set-up for Romano.
Thats a 2D chess move. We are in 3D chess move mode.

This is a massively stupid move. Even if Kikuchi pitches great and we squeak it out, we're left with no insurance for Bassitt tomorrow and get to tire out our better relievers again.

Idiotic.
