Exactly and this is why I was saying that dropping to 3rd may not be feasible.
The only way possible now is if Seattle sweeps and Houston loses out.

In that scenario, if you survive Minny, you get Scherzer, Montgomery, Eovaldi (Baltimore has mediocre starters and a great BP, but Texas has horses that could prevent you from facing their BP)

Playoff scenarios:

Houston
- wins West with 2 wins and less than 2 wins for Texas
- WC2 with (2 wins and 2 Texas wins OR 1 win and 2 Seattle wins) AND 2 Toronto losses
- WC3 with 2 wins, 2 Seattle losses, 1 win and 1 Seattle loss OR (1 win, 2 Seattle wins, and a Toronto win)
- misses with 2 losses

Seattle
- wins West with 2 wins AND 1 Houston win
- WC2 with 2 wins AND 2 Toronto losses AND at least 1 Houston loss
- WC3 with 2 wins and 2 Toronto losses and 2 Houston wins OR 1 win and 2 Houston losses
- misses with 1 loss and 2 Houston wins OR 2 losses OR Houston win and Toronto win

Texas
- wins West with a win OR 2 Houston losses
- wins WC2 with a 1 win, 2 Houston wins and 1 or 2 Toronto losses
- wins WC3 with 2 losses, 1 Houston win, AND 2 Toronto losses
- misses with 2 losses, 1 or 2 Toronto wins AND 1 Houston win

Toronto
- WC2 with win OR 2 losses and Seattle loss and Houston loss
- WC3 with 2 losses and 2 Houston wins and at least one Seattle loss OR 2 losses and 2 Houston losses and 2 Seattle wins OR 1 win, 1 Texas win, and 2 Houston wins
- misses with 2 losses, 2 Seattle wins AND at least 1 Houston win

The skinny is:
Seattle wins all tiebreakers except a 2 way tie with Texas
Houston beats Texas (2 way for division they win and any 3 or 4 way they finish 2nd behind Seattle)
Texas beats Toronto and Seattle (only in a 2 way tie)
Toronto beats Houston (only in a 2 way tie)

Toronto win and they are in (could be WC2 or WC3)
Houston win and they are in (could be West champ, WC2 or WC3)
Texas win and they are in (same as Houston)
Seattle can win both and miss. Texas can lose both and win the West.

I'm not any more comfortable against Minnesota than I am against Tampa Bay at this point. They're both good teams, but the Jays can beat either.

The number of injuries the Rays have had kind of levels it off for me and the Jays have played really well against them recently, including against Glasnow.

Probably better than a 50/50 chance this is Ryu’s last appearance (and certainly last start) as a Jay.

… and not starting well here.

As I feared, Ryu not very sharp. lucky to get away with 1 run.

FU RYU! That off speed shit is being devoured. We want this game so Gausman doesn’t have to pitch tomorrow (which can still happen if Seattle loses).
