Exactly and this is why I was saying that dropping to 3rd may not be feasible.
The only way possible now is if Seattle sweeps and Houston loses out.

In that scenario, if you survive Minny, you get Scherzer, Montgomery, Eovaldi (Baltimore has mediocre starters and a great BP, but Texas has horses that could prevent you from facing their BP)

The skinny is:
Seattle wins all tiebreakers except a 2 way tie with Texas
Houston beats Texas (2 way for division they win and any 3 or 4 way they finish 2nd behind Seattle)
Texas beats Toronto and Seattle (only in a 2 way tie)
Toronto beats Houston (only in a 2 way tie)

Toronto win and they are in (could be WC2 or WC3)
Houston win and they are in (could be West champ, WC2 or WC3)
Texas win and they are in (same as Houston)
Seattle can win both and miss. Texas can lose both and win the West.

I'm not any more comfortable against Minnesota than I am against Tampa Bay at this point. They're both good teams, but the Jays can beat either.

The number of injuries the Rays have had kind of levels it off for me and the Jays have played really well against them recently, including against Glasnow.

Probably better than a 50/50 chance this is Ryu’s last appearance (and certainly last start) as a Jay.

… and not starting well here.

FU RYU! That off speed shit is being devoured. We want this game so Gausman doesn’t have to pitch tomorrow (which can still happen if Seattle loses).

You mean win out right?
