Have you not watched the Jays all year? Have you not realized how poorly they have played with RISP? Have you not realized how they make poor pitching look like studs because they struggle to hit?

It's not if you have actually followed the Jays this year, especially after the Rangers series and how they struggled against the A's and Royals to win. The Jays can easily go on a losing streak and talking about a team below them who could catch them if they do struggle is not toxic, it's reality sadly.

Have you watched the Yankees all year LMAO? You think that team is just going to run the table?

Yes man. Our team sucks, and the Yankees who have been behind us the entire season are going to WIN EVERY GAME!

What's the point of this?

It’s literally 0%.

You are so invested in being an edgy negative fan that you seem delighted to being up non-probabilities as legitimate fears.

There are lots of questions about how the last 12 games will go and where we’ll stack up against Houston/Texas/Seattle.

The Yankees are just totally irrelevant. They aren’t a thing. Even if there is a minuscule chance they catch us, if we play so badly that they do it would mean we finished behind all the other teams that matter anyway.

Huh... I assumed people moved on from the "can't hit with runners in scoring position" thing when the Jays suddenly became one of the best RISP teams after the All Star break. Apparently not!

Like said a couple days ago, and like I said again today and again today, if one team was to possibly catch the Jays it would be the Yankees, and nothing is guaranteed but if there was one it would be them, doesn't mean it's happening hopefully it doesn't, and statistically it shouldn't. The Jays have shown all year how poorly they have played, so to think they would struggle to win against their division rivals isn't a far fetch, but it is for some obviously.

It was a horrible series by the Jays at an awful time, but you can find anomalies like that for every team in the history of the game that ultimately mean nothing.
We don’t know what it’ll ultimately mean yet. But in the present, it reflects poorly.

What does it say about the Astros that they’re getting beat by the KC Royals that Toronto just swept?

The Texas performance was terrible. But man, did people start watching sports last week?

I'm invested in showing my frustration in being a fan, because I'm not happy with how the season has gone, since expectations were high. Sorry my opinion on the matters hurt your feelings, because you think everything is always good and this team is just walking into the post season in your eyes. I remember you said before the Texas series it was a guarantee Jays were making the playoffs, and just ignoring how all season the Jays have struggled to score, that's cool if you want to look at things only 1 way all the time.

I never claimed the Yankees would be in the postseason, this is what you're caught up on, I'm just pointing out they could catch them in the standings, and you guys think I'm saying they're going to make the WC or something lol.

I don't think it's any more meaningful than "They played like garbage for a few days".

Personally, I would rather be the team that plays well for a few weeks and has a shitty series than the one that looks like the worst team in the league for a month but has one great series.

How many games did you expect them to win coming into the year?

No one’s saying they would rather be Texas. That’s mostly irrelevant to the discussion.

From a Jays and Jays fan POV, it was a troubling series that exemplified many of the issues with the team this season.

I have literally never said this or anything close to it.

Again, the Yankees are meaningless. I don't know how much more clearly I can say this.

Got the 7-2 record they needed in these 9 games, plus both Seattle and Texas have gone into the tank.

Should be difficult to blow it from here, especially given how many times Seattle and Texas play each other.

Actually you have but whatever you try to claim.

Yes, it should have been difficult to blow it from that position. Losing 4 games in a row against Texas was the sort of thing that needed to happen, and even then we are now right back at a 71.5% chance of making the playoffs.

If they'd even gone 1-3 they'd be at close to 90%.

But I never, ever said it was 'virtually guaranteed'.

No you didn't say guarantee, but that wasn't anything close to it though interesting...
