He might K a couple times a game but hard contact and a good eye leads to good outcomes more often than not. I would like to see Horwitz in the lineup though especially tomorrow. Load up the lefties and maybe put Schneider a couple spots down.

1. Springer (RF)
2. Bo (SS)
3. Vlad (DH)
4. Horwitz (1B)
5. Biggio (3B)
6. Schneider (2B)
7. Varsho (LF)
8. Heineman (C)
9. Kiermaier (CF)

Okay but Vladdy was still positively impactful today. Had good ABs all game
Yeah, Vladdy blew it on that play, but he had a fantastic game. He was by FAR the most important part of the offense today.

We talk about the good breaks, and how we really shouldn't have won but to me it seems like for every good break we get we get 5 bad ones. Jays hit the ball hard a lot today, Babe in particular, ball wasn't falling.
Funny how that works, isn't it? They hit hard liners all over the place all game with nothing to show for it, then a fielder misplay one ball and the Jays only won because they were lucky.

These teams are so bad. It’s a joke really. Taking turn choking

Just draw number from a bag for the wild card

Have any of you ever actually watched a bad team before?

It's way more high-stress than a team that mashes the baseball, but the Jays have elite pitching and defense and an average offense. It's a very good team, and this kind of baseball is so much fun to watch.

It is but when you know certain struggling hitters have another level it can get frustrating.

i see where you are coming from. This team is filled with good and maybe even 2 elite players. They have a gold glove at third, cf, 1b and then Springer and Bo are excellent as well. Two superstars with Vlad and Bo. Ridiculous and deep pitching staff. However they have looked brutal almost the whole season and were just embarrassed 4 straight by Texas. They only won this game by sheer luck.

One of Texas, Seattle or To is backing into the playoffs lol. Hopefully us just because playoffs are fun. I’m
Seattle and Texas play each other 7 times which helps us a lot.
Seattle also has 3 games against the Astros.

It would have been nice to get at least a split in the Rangers series but the deck is definitely stacked in our favour.

I feel like sheer luck should be held for the rarest of outcomes. Like a pitcher falling off the mound three straight times to give up the lead. Varsho hit an absolute bullet to CF, and the worst team defensively this season did what they do best.

The Red Sox, that’s a team with severely impactful flaws. The Royals, that’s a terrible terrible team. The Jays have flaws, but they’re kinda like a better version of Cleveland. Or like the Padres only not as unlucky.
