I'm not sure if people realize the level that Reinbacher would have dominated junior leagues. With what I've seen of him and close comparables, I'd have comfortably projected PPG in the WHL and dominant defensively. Too much whining about two players that 90% of posters in this thread have never seen play outside of a 2min YouTube highlight package.
Yup. And people are suicidal because we passed on a small, average speed, perimeter forward who won't be here for at least 3 years. They all know Michkov better than Bobrov though who's father works for Michkov's parent team.

You can say that about everyone
I don't see any reason he won't become a very dangerous offensive player unless we are nuked or something before he gets to the NHL

Dangerous offensive player, or superstar? He should be a dangerous player with no doubt, he was drafted 7th overall.

HuGo managed to kill this drafts excitement for me with Newhook trade yesterday and Reinbacher today. Seems really mediocre to have 2 years of being so bad and collecting picks to end up with Slafkovsky, Reinbacher, Newhook, Dach, Mesar, Beck as the result. Maybe they end up being better than expected but it's giving me more of what I felt after Bergevin drafts/moves.

Hopefully there's another Hutson type pick to salvage this draft for me at least.
What another 5 ft guy??😀🤣

You Forgot Monahan. But, yeah it look horrible. Honestly, I has hoping San Jose take Michkov. Pretty sure Kent would have draft Smith at #5.
KH draft Smith at 5th absolutely no doubt about it like 0 doubt.

I really thought we would go for a offensive talent this year which would have made the Slaf pick logical. We already have Guhle, Mailloux, Hutson anjd Barron as young defense men with top4 potential.

So they have fake cardboard phones on the tables, i guess its a good way to save to help the cap go up by 10k next year.. every year we expect a bit of a show and its just a slow clap fest

You’re missing the point.

You don’t draft a defenseman in an offense heavy top 10. High end talent slips because there are so many scorers that you FINALLY a top 5 elite scorer. We’ve been screaming for one as an organization.

Reinbacher is a good defenseman. But we 100% could draft a comparable defenseman in the top 10 next year which is a defense heavy draft.

Our last 4 top 5 picks have been Galchenyuk, Kotkaniemi, Slafkovsky and Reinbacher. There is zero scoring talent to come out of it.

This is not about Reinbacher. It’s about this F’in organization’s allergy to talent. So damn tired of this.
Good sensible post

We'll be back in the lottery again next year. I figure 6-10.
Likely but there is no guarantee. Habs won't be tanking and who knows how many teams will give up early like Detroit did last season.
And if they take another d and 4 or 5 of the d turn out they will have very valuable assets to trade for whatever other position are lacking.
