I'm not reading through 50 pages since my last check in. Who's on suicide watch? Who needs a wellness check? Glass half full didnt this guy out produce Josi at the same age in a stronger league today? Let's give the kid benefit of the doubt, I just would've traded down to 7 and gotten 22 as well, that's my only qualm.

Oh for chrissakes you're being anally retentive. 6foot2.25 is a good height for an 18 year old.

Pietrangelo doesn't play a heavy game either but there's other ways D men make use of their size/height. As I mentioned, teams couldn't do anything against Vegas's size and mobility on their blue line and a 3rd string goalie cruised to a Cup championship.

You can't have to many D's as they are tough to find and can fetch a lot if you need to trade for offensive assets. And as of now, we have quite a few good / great potential D prospects.

I think that the issue now is that we need a goalie for this team to be successful in a few years and hope for multiple cup runs.

We'll see how that goes.

We picked the best D in a draft that was notoriously weak for Ds. Nothing to write home about.

Molson was holding the jersey on the way up to the stage, Im pretty sure he's responsable for the pick or at the very least not picking Michkov.

Bergevin left us with a lot of shit veterans. A lot. That's a big problem. Hard to sell when you don't have much too sell in 1st place.

Toffoli, Lehkonen & Petry were it, and I thought we did OK in all 3 trades.

Not much you can do with Hoffman, Gallagher, Armia, Dvorak, Evans, Drouin. Only Drouin isn't coming back. Armia & Gallagher alone count for $10m against our cap.

Price means we're always in LTIR and can't accrue cap space allowing us to do Chicago/Arizona contract dumps trades. The one we were able to do, I thought they did well on it too.

It's a shit situation for sure.
