Do people here not watch the playoffs? I realize it's not as fun when our teams aren't in there but the playoffs are all about playing a heavy game, big defensemen with mobility, going to the net etc. The dipsy doodlers disappear come playoff time.

6’2 is not big for an NHL defenceman, it’s average.

Reinbacher does not play a heavy game

Celebrini and Eiserman are some freaking good though forward prospects though. Celebrini actually performed better at this year's WU18 than Bedard did the previous year. He'd likely be #2 if he was in tonight's draft. He'll be at BU this year.
If we have the opportunity to take him, we'll pass on him for a goalie just because.

Sigh. Now anything come out of Hughes mouth will as much weight as Bergevin’s comments. Can’t take anything he says seriously anymore.

Molson sold us all smoke and mirrors once again.

Why do we need another D? Weren’t all these Barrons and harrises supposed to be it? Trades wasted on second tier “talent”. Drafts wasted on 3-4th liners IF we’re lucky.
He owes us explanations honestly.

The pick doesn’t line up with the comments he made.

I have to agree, I'm a bit disappointed but after taking a few breaths, we did pick the best D man of this draft.

You can't have to many D's as they are tough to find and can fetch a lot if you need to trade for offensive assets. And as of now, we have quite a few good / great potential D prospects.

I think that the issue now is that we need a goalie for this team to be successful in a few years and hope for multiple cup runs.

We'll see how that goes.
