You act like Reinbacher is nhl and will probably ready in 3 years also
Such a terrible argument
Everyone is acting like Michkov is actually going to make a huge difference too. You never know until later -- I think the pick is honestly due to lack of confidence in Barron tbh.

Everyone knew we would not take Michkov so nobody offered anything. I'm not surprised. I would have been greatly susprised if Molson would have allowed Hugo to draft a russian player 5th overall.

Big Bird was an offensive catalyst. What you are describing is a no.4 Dman, not even a no.3
As long as Reinbacher pans out.

We have a lot of good offensive dmen whi are questionable defensively.

Reinbacher could be s steady presence for the back end. The next big bird?

And you know this for a fact ?
No of course not, just the reports Flyers were trying to move up to 5 and that was their offer.

Hughes Gorton Boborov… slaf and reinbacher… like those nerds that what to be different for the sake of it

It's not like I am super excited about these picks but at the same time you have to look at the situation we were in both years. We picked 1st overal last year, and as the draft approached there was really no sure fire 1st overall like Bedard this year. It had been Wright but he fell off. Towards the end a lot of people were leaning towards Slaf.

This year, I think you could have predicted the top 4 in some order, but at 5 it was becoming more unpredictable. Reinbacher was picked to go top 7 by a lot of people. Might as well hope for the best here. In two or three more years we can slam Hughes.

I'd have preferred the Nashville trade.

Anyways... I remember not being that excited about the Carey Price pick. Hopefully this guy comes through.

I just don't know when we're going to have a chance to land a top ten point scorer again though. I'd have taken Mich.

I don't get to scout thousands of games like you fella's, but two teams had 'what's his name' in their top 5. And if Hughes would have traded down, his guy is gone.

He will live and die on this pick, he has balls, let's see how it plays out.
