Maybe it's just me, but I feel like the expectations of Luke Hughes have gotten out of control and are entirely unfair to the player. Ryan Graves is a damn good top 4 NHL defenseman, and we're just assuming that a 19 year old kid is going to be as good as him within his first 40ish games??
I get that the Twitter and YouTube clips of Luke Hughes are jump off the screen and the production looks phenomenal and the fanbase hype train is going full speed. But if you're being fair to the player and you really watch his full game, there's a lot of work to do and a lot of development that still needs to happen.
