What "hockey trade" are you making? Good teams aren't subtracting good centers. If a bad team was moving one then we would've known about them being available

Hope Fitzy added another depth defender, but seems like Stetcher went to CGY and TvR isn’t moving.
Still think we could use an extra body there which Harrington was supposed to be.

Wanted a depth D but I guess Fitz is liking the current youth and wants to just let things develop and play out how they will with the current roster both at D and in net. This isn't our last ditch attempt year so I'm fine with that.

Thought by the way Fitzgerald pointed out Harrington's playoff experience they'd want a similar depth dman for the press box. Only other player that came to mind on an expiring deal was Justin Braun.

Smith, Bahl, and Luke should be enough depth. RD depth would have been nice but it's not the end of the world we didn't get someone

Thats why I'm not a GM. Idk.. to me they've been talked about "oh this is Carolinas year" for like forever and every year they just add some random defenseman and then wonder how did we fall short again.
With that offense they feel more like pretenders to me than contenders.

You're fine throwing him and/or Nemec into the playoffs with no NHL experience? I'm not a fan of that. Upside isn't that high and downside is really low. Guess we just pray for no injuries.

Makar did it and was great.
Now, Luke isn't Makar, but I think the upside is high enough to justify giving him a shot. If he's bad, we still have Smith or Bahl as a 7th in case of injury.
More than fine with Luke. f*** no on Nemec. I don't even want him in the NHL next year until at least late.
How is adding Luke f***ing Hughes not high upside? Pretty much all of his comps step into the league as really good impact players.
