Canada Round-Robin games on Facebook are going for around $250 and as high as $450 a ticket. Most people are selling in pairs though so that goes up to $500-900 a game. How much are they going for?
Wow. Not sure they will get their money but...Canada Round-Robin games on Facebook are going for around $250 and as high as $450 a ticket. Most people are selling in pairs though so that goes up to $500-900 a game.
The Pre-Tournament game Canada vs Finland on the 23rd is going for around $150-200 a ticket.
Most other round robin matchups not including Canada are going for $50-150 a ticket. Some more reasonable people are selling for $35-40.
The very few gold medal game sellers are selling their tickets for basically the same price as the 22-game package costed at $1200. It’s pretty insane.
Ouuuf you’re off to a poor start on your Wright predictionI’m really worried about output from wright
I was disappointed when the canadiens didn’t draft wright but now a little worried about the type of player or output he will bring to this Canadian team
If wright doesn’t bring enough output to this team I think a mistake was done by this team to not bring one more offensive player even as a 13th player
Anyways we will see
Yes this is why Kakko was rated much higher than Dach and Cozens, right?Canadian fans and Canadian Scouting Staff and Canadian managment at NHL levels tend to overrate our Canadian hockey players as as compared to foreign players. So, in essence, we tend to rank them higher than foreign players. This happens in the corporate environment as well as I may tend to favor my Canadian countrymen over other foreigner applicants. Lafreniere, Wright and Byfield are essentially ranked slightly higher than their foreign peers who are slightly more ready for the NHL, having played with men.
I hope you know how off base this take is? lolCanadian fans and Canadian Scouting Staff and Canadian managment at NHL levels tend to overrate our Canadian hockey players as as compared to foreign players. A prediction and a concern are two different entities, the “beck is a lock “ is a prediction that didn’t materialize, the wright worries me (I hope he has a sensational tournament as this would be great for his self esteem) is a concernOuuuf you’re off to a poor start on your Wright prediction

All I can say to that is "Eh Oh Canada Go"Just catching up with this thread but I’m not even Canadian and I get chills whenever I sing along with this masterpiece. Chills.
He's a junior
Star of his hometown team
Got the grades, got the girl, got it all so it seems
Those big game lights in his eyes
Never felt so alive, so wild, so free
Now the fall has come and gone
He's got his country colours on
He's sittin' there in the drive with his dad and he says
When the stars line on up and you finally strike gold
When the pressures way too much
But the diamond starts to show
When your prayers get answered Gods plan unfolds
Now don't you forget to
Make mistakes
Lose your way
Get some dirt on your boots
Call your mom
Write your friends
Ones that were there for you
Remember all of them people when your dreams come true
Now don't you forget your roots
She has seen him
Givin' his heart to the game
Every night paid the price now he's finally got his break
Calls home saying, "Mom we've been
Dreaming bout this day"
Tears streaming down his face through the phone and his mama she says
When the stars line on up and you finally strike gold
When the pressures way too much
But the diamond starts to show
When your prayers get answered gods plan unfolds
Now don't you forget to
Make mistakes
Lose your way
Get some dirt on your boots

Tonight’s Pre-Tournament games are…

I’ll be attending this one. ^
Hahaha thanks bud, it’s all apart of the package, I’m excited.Whoa! How did you manage to get tickets to THAT ?!?!?!?!
You must know someone.(Just teasing, my friend. Have fun.)
Hahaha thanks bud, it’s all apart of the package, I’m excited.
I want to see Columbus Blue Jacket David Jiricek, Jiri Kulich who’s looking pretty good in the AHL. And others like Stanislav Svozil, David Spacek, Jakub Brabenec, Matyas Sapovaliv, Halifax Moosehead David Moravec and Cape Breton Eagle goaltender Oliver Satny.
They look to have a pretty decent team this year, their D-Core is better than most years. Canada shouldn’t take them easily.
oh, and with Ivan Ivan being gone now they have a new player named Marcel Marcel! Haha
I think Canada are probably the favorite, but I also don't think it's a runaway to the point where anything less than gold would be a disappointment. I know a lot of folks are talking about this group as one of the best all time, but honestly I just don't see it. I think the 2021 team was much stronger. Heck, last year's group was arguably stronger too, as this year's team lost McTavish, Johnson, and Greig. Bringing up 2005 and 2015 is pretty ambitious. From The Hockey Writers...

Canada Wins the Gold Medal
At this point, anything but Gold is a disappointment for Team Canada, and the sheer level of talent on their roster this year means that they could still be considered disappointing even if they win it. This team is absolutely stacked on offense, has one of the most solid defensive corps front-to-back, but will struggle to keep goals out of their net with no clear starting goaltender.
Canada’s top-six forward group is absurd at this point with the likes of Bedard, Fantilli, Shane Wright, Logan Stankoven, and Dylan Guenther. Three of those players attended NHL training camps this year (two of them made their NHL team’s roster), and the other two are likely going to be drafted 1st and 2nd overall in the 2023 NHL Draft. There is a mix of elite skating, goalscoring, effort, and size all mixed into just their top-six, with plenty more talented players filling out the third and fourth lines.

The 2023 World Junior Championship is just around the corner, check out my 6 predictions as we prepare for the tournament!thehockeywriters.com
I would agree with you that I don’t think this team is as good as 2015 or 2005, I just think they’re viewed as such favourites because it’s a bit of a weaker year everywhere else (no Russia, Sweden missing best player, no superstar goaltender, etc)I think Canada are probably the favorite, but I also don't think it's a runaway to the point where anything less than gold would be a disappointment. I know a lot of folks are talking about this group as one of the best all time, but honestly I just don't see it. I think the 2021 team was much stronger. In a single elimination tournament, USA, Finland, and Sweden are all capable of beating Canada. Probably even the Czechs too, who have a pretty strong team this year.
