WC: 2023 Sweden Roster Talk

Whats the word on: Elmer Söderblom, Carl Grundström and Victor Olofsson?
No word. Grundström said to a Kings reporter that he'd accept an invite if extended. Olofsson has not said anything what I have seen. Söderblom is likely not invited.

Team Sweden management has adopted a policy that they only comment on players until everything is official and they are on the roster.

The SVT play-by-play guy, Chris Härenstam, said something like "We know there are players who have gotten the question and have yet to reply", during the broadcast yesterday. I guess he has some inside knowledge.

I hope Elmer gets an invite. Big, skilled and loads of potential. Not many of those around.

That 4th line just neglects to change and gets stuck in their own zone for ages.

Häman Aktell and Persson are both horrible.

Really shit second period overall.

I’ve NEVER seen Sweden so bad against Czechia before. This is not good.

Aktell, Persson, Everberg, Petersson and Folin are not good enough.

Sandin - Nemeth
Tömmernäs - Bengtsson
Lindholm - Pudas

Berggren - Leo - Raymond
Nylander - Lindberg - Silfverberg
Zetterlund - Lindholm - Sörensen
Johansson - De la Rose - Brännström

Yup. Nylander 2xJr. Looks like he could be a good addition though.
Also you forgot Sörensen. I’d rather have no one on the ice than him. I’d go Brännström on the third Rasmussen on the fourth. Rest on the stands if there are no new additions. Wait it out as long as possible. Also if they get no one else please bring over Elmer. He is far better than any of Rasmussen, Everberg, Sörensen, Johansson, DLR or even Zetterlund who has been underwhelming unfortunately.

Or possibly gamble and don’t even play a full team. Its just not good enough.

He’s clearly skilled enough. It’s all dependent on what Hallam has got up his sleeve.

Lindberg, Johansson and Tömmernes and of course, Carlsson.

Keep those from europe replace the rest with whatever you can find in the NHL/etc.

This is why europe really needs to be competitive again. There is no parity at all.

So which players are fighting not to get cut here? Assuming there are no more additions and 1D and 1F will go.

I'd say Everberg, Brännström, Sörensen and Petersson on F. Persson, Häman Aktell and Folin on D
