Brännström and Carlsson are two players who have really played their way from being placeholders to locks in my mind. If Hallam drops them so he can keep friggin Rasmussen and Everberg, I will lose it
Hallam knows there is no way Sweden has enough skill to run a decent powerplay without Carlsson. Borgman still being on the powerplay… Ehm sorry i mean team is weird though. Just because I say that he makes a great stretch pass.

Also if you listen to Hallam when he talks about Carlsson its pretty obvious that Hallam likes what he brings to the table.

Yes, he is the #1 center at the moment. None of the confirmed additions are centers. Center is our weakest position. An 18 year old and a collection of grey two-way forwards with limited offensive upside at the international level.

Wennberg and Zibanejad would be dream additions.

No doubt. Imagine getting Larsson on defense aswell.

Good period, Nyström quietly making his best appearance for Sweden.

Can they please fire him already he is aggravating.
At least Jonas was there to eat some of that time he, & Chris have been talking through previously... Next up hopefully Jonas steps in for Czech Hockey Games (and obviously onward).

He’s also trash IMO. Just not as trash.

Arvidsson and Kempe were released. Will they accept the offer?
We can hope. Kempe seems to enjoy playing for the Tre Kronor. He was part of the disastrous Riga tournament, maybe he wants redemption? Arvidsson and Kempe would raise the standard of this team by miles. But of course, none of them are centers which is our biggest weakness

Hasn't Kempe played some center in the past? Not his natural position but maybe with the lack of centers... I wonder if David Gustafsson could be an option too?

He has yes.

Gustafsson would be 4th liner on this team, nothing more.

He has and it has not worked well when with the NT, heck, De La Rose outplayed him!

At least this is the last chance to strengthen the team's attack..

Yes, this players are now knocked out of the playoffs (played at least on games):

Alexander Edler - didn't play last two games (unsure if scratched or injured), pending UFA - would probably decline invite
Adrian Kempe
Viktor Arvidsson
Carl Grundström
Filip Gustavsson - RFA
Johan Klingberg - UFA
Jonas Brodin
Joel Eriksson Ek - missed all but one game due to injury, will not come
Gustav Nyquist - UFA
Oskar Sundqvist - UFA
Marcus Johansson - UFA
Sebastian Aho
Pierre Engvall - UFA
Victor Hedman - battled injures, would very likely decline invite
David Gustafsson
Kevin Stenlund - RFA
Axel Jonsson-Fjällby - RFA

Kempe, Arvidsson and Brodin should be the prime targets. Grundström, Aho and Gustafsson are borderline in my view.

Still playing
Boston (Ullmark and Lindholm) vs Florida (Forsling)
New Jersey (Bratt, Boqvist) vs NY Rangers (Zibanejad)
Colorado - Seattle (Larsson, Wennberg, Frödén)

Eliteprospects have these players listed to the WC for team Sweden

Rasmus Sandin
Jonatan Berggren
Alexander Nylander
Lucas Raymond
Jakob Silfverberg
the first reaction when seeing alexander nylander name is a big laugh. but when gathering my thoughts...he is probaly a uppgrade over Andre Petersson and Karlqvist.
