Whelp, I guess the reason he wasn't getting any visits was because no one wanted to tip their hand. Too bad he won't be the Bill, but I maintain this is way too high for a traditional off ball LB that doesn't add in the pass rush.

If you play defense and don’t add to the pass rush, I really don’t want the bills drafting you in the first two rounds!

The team that didn't have a problem taking a RB high in the first also no problem taking an off ball LB. Says something.

If you don't want to invest a lot of money into these types of positions, the best way to do it is lock a guy in on a rookie contract for 5 years.

i hope we grab Downs. not sure if it’s great value at 27, but whatever, he’s not gonna fall deep into the 2nd round

Not necessarily. First round contracts don't really provide any savings against FA contracts at those positions, especially when you consider the opportunity cost of not getting savings at more valuable positions.

So who are the teams we are really concerned about taking a WR here? Seattle, Baltimore, and the Giants? I'm not sure the Chargers or Cowboys would want to. And at least Seattle/Baltimore could go in other directions as well.

I think there's a good chance, barring someone trading up, that only one WR at most goes before 27 at this rate.

KC will trade up and take JSN at any moment.

Here we are talking about WR...and for all we know, the Bills are just hoping for Mazi Smith to stay on the board at 27.

Seattle really running this clock down, I'm thinking they're desperately trying to trade down and not finding any takers.
