Hell baby
Paxton has a grade 1 hammy strain, nothing too serious but will set him back a week or two

Oh yeah, baby! Give me the clock!!

Seriously

Throw the freakin ball

As a kid

2 hour 20 minute games

Brooks Robinson and Ozzie Smirh making incredible plays

Last 15 years walk up music with the batter standing there listening to his song

(I’d outlaw all walk up music- I’m not paying to hear what Ian Happ is listening to)

I don’t watch without pitch clock and no shifts and they lose people like me they are f’d

Gonna be very interesting to see how the clock affects some of the top tier pitching talent that are notoriously slow on the mound. Corbin Burnes and Yu Darvish are two who come to mind.

Darvish was worth an extra 30-40min alone, whenever he pitched.
Yah I got him and I’m curious how he handles this

He loved road trips to Boston

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Dave Wills, who served as the Tampa Bay Rays radio announcer for the past 18 years, passed away on Sunday morning at the age of 58.

During his time with the Rays, Wills became a beloved figure among fans for his passion, enthusiasm and expertise.

He called some of the most memorable moments in Rays history, including the team’s run to the World Series in 2008 and 2020.

Wills was known for his impeccable play-by-play calling, his insightful analysis and his infectious personality. His contributions to the Rays organization and the Tampa Bay community will never be forgotten.

“Dave was an outstanding broadcaster, a great friend, and an even better person,” said Rays Principal Owner Stuart Sternberg. “He had a remarkable talent for bringing the game to life for our fans and was a vital part of the Rays family. We will miss him dearly, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”

We chatted often - When he had a heart scare last fall I pleaded with him to get the latest Apple Watch

He loved coming to Boston but was bemused by the FSG hype

He was astonished at how the Red Sox regarded broadcasters starting with Don Orsillo getting fired and then Tim Neverett - He became very close to Joe Castiglione but found O'Brien to be aloof.

We always joked about Yankees radio but Sterling and Waldman just have a chemistry that works.....( and because NYY trains in Tampa they to this day are allowed to broadcast regular season games in that market.

All Dave wanted was to have the White Sox offer him a play by play gig but.............

I remember seeing Matt Clement getting a ball in his face as a pitcher.

That Turner situation. My goodness. All I think about is Tony C.

Hopefully he'll be okay. Awful.

Looked like Turner turned at the very last second so it didn't him him square in the face/nose, etc.

Still super scary stuff. I hope he's okay.
