Story will be playing SS according to all reports that I have read. I still have my doubts that he can play that position well defensively. The bat is definately an upgrade. Personally I would pencil TS in at 2B, think that is his best position. Trade Kike, get what you can. Not sure if there is any SS out on the market that we can get? Tim Anderson is having a down year offensively ( no HR's) this year with the Chisox, maybe a change of scenery would help him?
Story is legit fielder but I’m with you - I want Story at 2B long term and Anderson is interesting without his contract situation

Speaking with former Red Sox teammate Brock Holt on an episode of Foul Territory, Betts said he wasn’t ready for the trade at the time and wanted to stay in Boston long-term.

“I know people don’t believe it,” Betts said. “But I wanted to stay in Boston my whole career. That’s where I grew up. That’s my life. I knew everybody there. It was a short flight to Nashville. Like, everything was perfect.”

I don't believe a damn word. I love Mookie but let's be real here lol.

He did love Boston though. I will give him that.

Some executives fill their needs with small, but reasonable trades, while others continuously churn through the waiver wire because relievers are so fungible..................................

Hell baby
I’m sure he would’ve stayed in Boston…if they were the highest bidder. That just wasn’t going to happen though.

Verdugo talent should always be a 4 Win player minimum

Thought it would be this year he hits 20-25 bombs

He’s got serious power when he catches it but just looks like 12-15 seems where falls
