Tell me any realistic package better than Story + Schreiber + Houck + Whitlock + Sale
I have good faith Houck is going to be good, Whitlock idk as a starter he seemed hit or miss.

Sale? He wasn't even good iirc when he was pitching this year before he got Injured AGAIN (not to mention he looks like his frame is frale rusted rebar) so I'm not putting much faith into him being a difference maker.

Story? This is the 2nd time he's been injured in about a year with the red sox right?

And I don't know anything Schreiber.

Anyone can get hurt. The Sox could trade for Ohtani and he could go out the next day and blow his arm out.

Yes, some guys seem to get hurt more than others but once they’re cleared to play, you operate as normal.

I do think someone like Whitlock should be BP bound. He’s more effective there and it saves his arm.

Sale? You go with until he gets hurt. Maybe he comes back and stays healthy. Maybe he doesn’t. I think the Sox should acquire some SP depth come the TDL. He also was very good once he got some starts under his belt.

Story has been hurt but when he’s playing, he’s a weapon. Getting him back will be huge. You won’t get a better piece at the deadline than Story.

Schreiber is a solid late inning relief option.

“Los Angeles also would consider a reunion with Enrique Hernández, a league source said, if he is willing to fit into the kind of niche role the Dodgers are seeking to fill. Hernández, who wants to be an everyday player, has spent the past three seasons in Boston but could be the odd man out this weekend in the Red Sox’s pending roster crunch.”

Not Zack Hample catching Raffy's homerun.

Of course he did.
That piece of shit should be banned from every park. He shoved children for balls. He shoved woman for balls. One was pregnant. He breaks rules. He somehow got into the military game last year illegally. The guy is a scumbag.

I'm not a diehard Sox fan but if they somehow make the playoffs and it's game 1 and they're somehow leading by 1 run in the bottom of the 9th at an opposing ballpark idk if I can look/watch, lol.

Hell baby
This teams pitching is just flat out good. Has been since May.

Are there people actually complaining in here? Sounds like Ive curated this thread perfectly. It’s sad that there are a group of Sox fans who want them to be worse than they are just so they can be right!

Fact of the matter is this is a pretty good team. Not great. Way too sloppy fundamentally to be great. But they got young foundational pieces starting to emerge and are going in the right direction. This is supposed to be fun!

Who are you talking about? That said it's not a pretty good team. That's taking it too far. I'd call it a decent yet still mediocre team. I'm not sure what we're celebrating. Lose 2 of 3 to Oakland and then win a series against a bad Mets team. Tied for last. Nothing has changed. There's still time for it to change but it hasn't happened yet.
