So all even again. 30-30. You can either put it behind you, and get back in the chase or fall apart and make it easy for Bloom to sell at the TDL.

This team feels pretty mediocre.

Even with Duvall coming back and Story starting to work out again, it all feels a little too late and we have some pitching problems, but I'll be patient.

Easy for Bloom to sell? That would show extreme confidence in his job security. I don't see why he should be confident in that. If the Red Sox reach a point where they are selling and declaring another lost season, Bloom shouldn't even be allowed to sell. He should be fired at that point.

Agreed, but sell whom? The newly extended Refsnyder, 38 year old Turner, Duran...please God...Even for a team on a budget shoestring they are a bizarre disaster.

They had a good June last year.
They had a weak schedule, and if I remember correctly, a hot JD last June. They have already had two months of what I think was a weak schedule, with tons of home games, this year. Now starts the run for the draft pick, and the countdown to firing the ridiculously overwhelmed Bloom, and his many minions. (Don't worry though, Storey, who sucks anyway, will save us. Mondesi also figures to return this decade as well.)

Chris Murphy is getting called up

LHP that will likely be used to either mop up innings in blowouts or as a bulk guy with an opener. He’s been pretty bad as a starter in Worcester but recently came out of the bullpen and looked very good over a 3 inning appearance. He’s long been projected to be a reliever so they may have caved and went through with the transition

Edit: more info

Can't they find some independent league pitcher..

The Red Sox plan to promote Chris Murphy from Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday.
The right-hander will be active and available out of the Red Sox' bullpen on Tuesday, though if they avoid using him on Tuesday or Wednesday, he'll be a candidate to start Thursday's game against the Guardians. The 25-year-old hurler has really struggled at Triple-A Worcester this season -- compiling a cringe-inducing 7.71 ERA, 1.92 WHIP and a 42/25 K/BB ratio across 39 2/3 innings.

Would need a 40 man spot. This would likely just be for garbage time anyway, so there’s no point in cutting somebody for a guy who would fill a very temporary 1-2 game role.

Most of those numbers came as a starting pitcher and that’s simply not going to be his role in the bigs. He was awful in Worcesters rotation but looked good out of the pen in his last outing. Command isn’t there and he has issues with RHH. I think he ultimately ends up a 1 inning lefty reliever but he could end up a 3-4 inning bulk guy at his best.

That writer of the article also has no idea what they’re talking about, they think he’s a RHP lol. Not a great look on their end.
