I think they will give Jaylen the supermax but i think there are reasons to be sceptical when it feels like the team are only run like a big market team when they have to, ducked the tax more than once since the big 3 team. When Jaylen's supermax extension actually kicks in they will likely be looking at a close to 300 million payroll and 100 million in luxury tax. Then Tatum's would kick in the season after.

There's also a very cute corgi that predicts basketball games that is 2 games away from needing presidential levels of security if the Warriors actually come back from 3-1 to win this series against the Lakers.

Both Brown (2nd team) and Tatum (1st team) will be getting a financial uplift due to making the All-NBA teams. Brown is at the end of his contract with the Celtics. Tatum is under contract with the Celtics until the end of the '24-'25 season.

Do you think the Celtics should keep them together for another go a round? I do not. I have been asking for another big to play with Horford who isn't going anywhere because of age unless he retires. Yeah, and the way the Celtics are using RW III he is a waste, zero offensive production so it is time to trade him IMO. And yes, I think it is time to replace Brown as well this off season.

What do you think?

The Celtics must (and will) resign both. It's not like if you let either leave you're easily going to replace them. If they're under contract at least you can always trade them if things aren't working.

They're also laughably young and you're going to be signing them for their peak years. No-brainer. Two of the 10-15 best players in the league is as good as situation as anyone will have for the next five years.

I said it last year- it’s hard to win in the league as a young star. Usually takes until the late 20’s for the maturity to be there and for them to be ready for that. We’ve seen Lebron and Durant. Heck Jordan didn’t win his first until he was 28 iirc

So true, those runs to the ECF's raised the bar for us as fans.

They need to make their first 3's, and even first few shots.
Have never seen a team where missing is so contagious

They start out 0-5 and they will lose and shoot less than 40 percent

Philly trying to hand this game away for free and the Celtics start playing like morons. 9-0 run since White entered the game.
