Guys

On paper, the current product is trash. Breathe, this current hot streak will end and we'll go back to being around 6th to 8th

Well lets say since i saw that Knitht is out for personal reason i think barring a lottery win we will have the 10-11 range i think with the Florida pick i dont even want to make joke anymore God that must be depressing for the fan

I would be personally maybe open to trade the pick for a need at the draft and draft one of the forward with our pick

FLA 23 pick is our trade chip for Dubois. (Of course, after the lottery.)

If we are to get Dubois, it has to be in the 2024 UFA market. I'd give money to him (and I want to see an other PPG season before I do that), but no pick or prospects. Chances he does a Brière/Lecavalier are too high.

Edit : And before I offer 8.5M a year, I want to see 2023-2024 : Slaf, Dach, Caufield, Roy, Beck, Farrell, Mesar and our 1st pick this draft.

In that scenario i would be open to trade the 4th-5-6-7-8th overall for a D if we can land Dubois with the Florida pick ++, if we win a top 2 selection its different, i take the top C and trade later a fwd for a D

Dubois Slaf Dach Cauf Suzu would be solid a mix of everything

We need a 1 top pair D

I'd be taking Sale at this point. He and Cristall are probably the only ones in our range now I can see with a percentage chance of becoming PPG+. It's low but it's there.

Man this f***ing sucks.
You need to get over it. There’s 20 games left and we can also win lottery. Every single of your posts is negative

I'm turning 34 and I've seen one season where my favorite hockey team had a player hit PPG. I have every f***ing right to be pissed off they are blowing yet another chance to get it done with one of the worst rosters I've seen since Houle was our GM.

Lol okay sure you have the right to be pissed off (even though your age is irrelevant). I’m just saying it’s very irritating constantly reading all your posts about how we are idiots and losers when there is 20 games left and still the lottery. You’re just assuming it won’t happen.

They've won 4 of 6 including 3 against teams they should never beat.. while the teams around us are crumbling and shitting themselves. 20 games isn't a lot of time to go on a big exhaustive losing streak and hope those other teams go on a big enough hot streak to pass us.

We had a golden opportunity and one of the worst rosters we've ever iced blew it. I'm gonna vent.

You do you but it’s very annoying

And you don’t need to explain who we lost to and what others are doing around us

Why are we against giving a 10-15OV pick for Dubois? Especially considering we already have a top-7 pick.

Dubois will have a decade of prime hockey for us. He is not the bonafide superstar we need but he is a 24, size and skilled PPG center. He would age perfectly fine with what we already have in place.

Big, big risk to wait for him to be a UFA. This player will be coveted big time.

I find it very annoying to be gate-keeped on how I want to express myself as a fan about the Habs while they are clearly f***ing up a very important draft pick for the franchise.

You’re not being “gatekeeped” lol. I’m just telling you how I feel. I literally said “you do you” but it is annoying to read and hear you complain every post when we are about to get a top 10 and top 15 pick in a good draft.

Do what you want

How about we keep that pick and draft a quality core player for a long time (Caufield and Guhle were drafted 15-16 respectively)

And Sign Dubois when he becomes a UFA in 2024 , we will be ever more appealing for him to want to sign with long term considering our future will be promising.

We're not a Dubois away from contending at this point, it seems ill advised to spend assets to make his acquisition. 2024 seems ripe to start making a push for the playoffs..... We will have shed a lot of deadwood by then and have some good rookies coming in on ELC contracts

1st game back after the 4 nations for the USNDTP, they made some signifiant moves demoting 3 guys and promoting Eiserman, Hagens and Hutson from the U17. The clear winner is Oliver Moore who is now centering 2 bluechip prospects. That team is now just way too stacked up front, thats ridiculous, top 2 lines especially are unfair.

Game ended 12-4 against Lindenwood university:

Moore: 1+3
Smith: 2+1
Leonard: 2 goals
Perreault 1+1
Eiserman: 3 goals
Hagens: 3 assists

Quick notes, they all had a great game, Moore was possessed generating alot all game long, Leonard scored a beauty and Smith doing Smith things again, I thought Smith put more efforts on the defensive side of his game, so its encouraging to see. Perreault is growing on me, I think his talent level is just as high as some other players ranked higher in this draft.

Smith goal:

Leonard's deadly wrister:

Leonard off balance, no big deal:

Eiserman from Moore:

Moore's skating and puck protection skills leading to a goal:
