Hawks butting next hard skating team a'la Colorado was when they won t he cup. Bedard, Nazar, Moore, Korchinski is pretty solid youth start for their rebuild.

Kasper feels like power forward / winger to me. They can try him at center but should be natural at wing

Danielson is your 2way shut down hard situations center with solid 2c potential

I don't like Kasper that much, but they were expecting him to be the 2C with picking him that high.

They're similar picks in my opinion. They'll both be pretty good NHLers. I just think they passed up higher upside players in both drafts.


And I'm not crapping on Detroit btw. just simply not huge on THOSE picks. The ASP pick was excellent. He's the best d-man in the draft.

Mittelstadt is looking pretty good. It was looking not so good very early, but he's turning it around. But what's scary in my opinion, is that they've got like 10 better players than him. He doesn't need to be anywhere close to "the guy" and he himself is a pretty good player.

NJ is scary too, but I think they're closer to there right now, more than "future" like I'm saying with Buffalo.

Asplund and Guhle were depth guys.

Like I said, other than the Rosen pick, I think they've been incredibly smart with their picks.

They just need to address the RHD.

Asplund and Guhle were top 5 prospects for them when they were regarded to have the best pool in the league, both guys were highly regarded 5-6 years ago.

NJ is in the same spot age wise, they simply have a superior young core.

Casey is meh, good skills but way, way too soft. They have a ways to go with their forwards in my opinion before I'm willing to put them into my top 3, there's still plenty of quality teams with players around the age of Tage, Dahlin that have shown at least the ability to make the playoffs.

If Chicago gets Moore, then they just locked up their Centers in 1 draft. You can add 3C via free agency down the road.

They have a young 3C in Guttman

Not gonna argue with that. I think too that there was more better high upside forwards available than Danielson at that spot.

And Cristall(Bedard's best friend) will probably slip to the 2nd(big mistake other teams) and chicago probably gets him too.
