Most of that time European goalies were not allowed in the CHL.

Canadian Major Juniors is a pretty horrific system to develop Goaltenders anyways. How many of the Top 10 in this year's Vezina voting played Major Juniors?

More Czechs rated than Finn's by CSS... Probably been a decade or more. However.. like you said, they look solid next year. Weird year for Finn's.. lost in quarters at U20, U18, Skoda ... Not sure about hlinka. However.. they are not regressing... Just a shit year.

The Finns have not produced a top 10 pick since Kaapo Kakko. That will probably change next year.
