Draft 2023 NHL Draft and Undrafted Free Agents Thread

  • Zach Benson – CAN – TWF; top-6, his skating is sus to me, he’s extremely effective against his age group.
  • Gabe Perreault – USA – RW - PLY; top 6, played all year with Will Smith and Ryan Leonard, (complemented) them great. Passing, dangling, speed all solid, a little bit of an size issue maybe.
  • Eduard Sale – CZE – SNP -
  • Oliver Moore – USA – TWF/GRD – top 6; great skating, true center. Skating and defense will guarantee the NHL, offense the rest.

  • Daniil But – RUS – TWF; with good playmaking, good size, right-handed

Players that should be traded immediately for draft picks:

Kaapo Kaapo
Vincent Trocheck
Artemi Panarin (50% retained)
Jacob Trouba (50% retained)

If we get fair value, that should land us 5 3rd round picks.

Both are great skaters, with Moore being elite. Perreault is an offensive menace. Moore a two-way hound, his offense might not translate well to the NHL though. I see some team jumping on Perrault around 15, Moore should make it to the 20s.
