Well, I will say that the Flyers have been excellent at drafting goalies lately,

Also, Carter Hart is definitely gone once the Hockey Canada report comes back.

I think it’s helpful to go look at the details of just how monumentally stupid this is. Here are the top NA goalies in the last 10 drafts:

Tyler Brennan
Sebastian Cossa
Spencer Knight
Olivier Rodrigue
Jake Oettinger (got one!)
Evan Fitzpatrick (no, not Hart)
MacKenzie Blackwood
Thatcher Demko (two!)
Zach Fucale
Malcolm Subban

In this case, the rankings are important because it’s the only thing this dolt knows about him.

I'm starting to get annoyed, Jojo.

I think you guys are going a bit overboard here. There's like a 5% chance any of these players turn into anything. More disappointing to me is the failure to move any of the veterans. That is a much bigger philosophical issue than not taking a guy you liked after watching a 10 minute highlight reel.

What's interesting is Chicago traded 51 in a supposedly deeper draft for what could be 50+ next year (LA) and a 6th rd pk.
Tells me they like the 2024 draft, at least after the 1st rd, as much as 2023.

10 min highlight reel, some of us have put alot of time into watching these prospects, just because you aren't familiar with them, doesn't mean the rest of us aren't

i think it has more to do with spreading out the wealth instead of having it so concentrated into a single year. muchlike the eagles in 2022

Doesn't change the fact by the 3rd rd, the odds are very long against anything more than a bottom six/third pair guy.
No matter how much film you watch.

But if you think 2024 is much weaker, it's a bad move, because you're reducing your expected value.
