Look my Anti Leonard tirades really boil down to us not having centers. We have so many f***ing wingers we don't need Danny Briere 2... It's because he does Briere's goal celebration isnt it. Danny sees himself in Leonard doesnt he.

BENSON atleast has a "Zach Hyman floor" who just put up 83 f***ing points... (playing with 2 of the best centers of all time). Some say hes Mitch Marner 2... who's a 60-100 point winger... ON TOP of being a super smart player. See how EFFORTLESS those two players play? Theyre always making the game easy for themselves and their teammates. Players like those can contend with ANY center. If either of those guys played with Prime G or pre injury Coots they could easily have a 100 pt season seeing how those are supportive space controlling centers and would feed the puck to. They'd even make Morgan Frost look like a 1st liner.

If the 2020 playoff bubble flyers had 22 yr old Benson, they easily could have beat the Lightning in the ECF in 6-7 games. If they had Leonard? Maybe they beat the isles and then get lightning'd in 5.

100% of Brieres effort was on that fantastic Hayes trade and failing to follow the rules with the DeAngelo attempt.

Torts hasn’t given him permission to trade Hart yet.
