There's this weird bit this board seems to be doing where the lineup is accused of playing too perimeter and passing up on shooting opportunities when they are available but they are also being neutered and forced to keep everything as simple as possible. The dichotomy is making my head hurt.
Correct, anything to divert potential blame off the youth and onto the coach and/or vets

He seems like a confident kid with swagger. He may honestly refuse to sign if Arizona drafts him a la Eric Lindros.
No way, he’ll believe he can single handedly turn the franchise around and get paid while doing so. Arizona not paying up after the rookie deal is where the real risk lies in him eventually leaving, but they’ll probably pony up the 9 mil for him. When was the last time a number 1 overall (success) actually was available before 28-29?

Taylor Hall? Had 65- and 80-point seasons, traded to NJ at like 24.

I don’t know if that makes sense in today’s NHL. His ELC will be his ELC regardless of where he plays. It might be better to rack up points getting prime ice time on a bad team for 3 years and then demanding a trade.

If not he's definitely going to mtl

Needs to come to north america and soon
Vaisanen is under contract to TPS at least through next season, so he wouldn't likely be eligible for Hartford until 24-25 at the earliest. Which is fine, he has a great frame but his overall game is still very much a project and he is playing meaningful action in Liiga right now, so there doesn't need to be any rush with him.

I thought the reffing was bad in the NHL. That was the biggest shit show of reffing I've seen in a long time.
