Super weird game between Britain and Poland.
To a certain extent, Britain deserved to win the game on balance of play through the first two periods. Then they couldn't deal with Poland's pushback in the third (bad trend for this team that was evident at last year's WC in games against Austria, Latvia), threw away the game, and essentially get handed the win due to a terrible call in OT.
I think the 5+game for Pas was fair. I'm not sure why Kalaber was complaining about the Pasiut penalty towards the end of the third (note: I don't think that O'Connor should have got called for his minor that Poland scored on).
Have to feel for Poland though. In 2018 against Great Britain, they lost due to going on a very dubious 5 on 3 in the third period. Now this call against Murray.
I don't know what's up with this British side though. They've moved away from simple hockey and are trying to massively overcomplicate things. I'm not sure if they came down thinking that this tournament would be a laugher, and that they're considerably better than the other teams bar Italy. The entire "success" of the British team since 2018 has been based on simple, clinical attacking play, usually on the rush. Now they're trying to pull off things that players with far greater talent than them wouldn't be able to do.
