Well they are in the lineup as a 7th defenseman and 13th forward so once again, doesn't answer anything yet.

But yeah, Poles are pretty scary this year they are really taking this seriously. Kolusz and Dronia back on the team for the first time since 2019, Wronka-Pasiut-Fraszko line finally together at the WC level for them. Poles have a reasonable chance to win the promotion here.
Do you think Poland would do good in highest division if they qualify?

So now we know Krakauskas is playing. Doesn't help vs. Poland but could help vs. Romania.

Team GB as much favored as they are will need to beat Poland tomorrow with quite a bit fewer rest if they want any preliminary guarantees.

Interesting to see whether they will start Polc or Tőke against the young Lithuanians tomorrow, winning one of the next two is pretty much their path to salvation. It hasn't been an all-hopeless display today even though also Italy hasn't been particularly impressive.

I find it nothing short of amazing that Mike Keenan is coaching Italy... I just don't see it going well.

And they needed to win this in three periods, safe to say that's not going to happen even with 30 minutes still left to play. Japan's up.

...about that goaltending...

Well deserved by Japan, they have been lethal all tournament long. They should be able to at very least cement themselves in 1A if not aim for surprise promotion to Elite division down the road with all the seemingly good prospects they are producing lately.

Goalies also they don't really have many in the pipeline. Narisawa has still made the stops he needs to do but going forward it looks pretty bleak.

Toke is the better goalie at this point so it will surely be him. It was the case last year already.

Frankly, I hope they go down this year because they have Rasmus Rinne lined up to take the job for the next one.

In the GB game, meanwhile, not much to take away other than I love Madness as the goal song.

Even if one wishes to maintain an undying belief in Iguchi one day becoming a professional hockey player he still will not have graduated from college next year.

Meanwhile Lithuania apparently wishes to opt out of the relegation race, not much separates these teams though. Polc in Romanian goal after all, not the best of starts from him.

Opted out before opting right back in..

Polc, meanwhile, just looks much sharper than last year.

They certainly had all chances for a point or several. Might be difficult for them to stay up with less than 4 points now, at least a win against Korea is pretty much a must.

Actually that's the final-day game, good chances for a relegation final there.

Maybe. But it's less than 48 hours after he won the title, probably wouldn't have played either way yet.
There was definitely the case one of the years where he played for the NT the next day and this is the key game for the Poles. But I guess there is still time, we will see.

just been watching from start of P2, GB look much better but been some hairy moments... Fraszko will probably live to regret that miss on the breakaway
