2023 iihf womens worlds..

Yeah, I get that. But Canada still could have won if that brutal call had not happened, it led to the game winning goal and it should never have happened.

I would hate to see that call being made in a stanley cup final game 7 OT as well, just terrible.
Calls happen, they rarely ever decide a game.

We just didn't do a good enough job in several areas to get the job done today.

She made a mistake, we all make em.

I'm sorry, but no.

She angled herself towards the board, dug in and launched that baby into the rafters. It was beyond just a "mistake" it may very well be the most brutal clearing attempt I've ever seen in my life. To the point, as I stated earlier, my first reaction was she did it on purpose. Watch the replay again and tell me you disagree.

Either she's just terrible, a world-class choker or she did it on purpose.
Whatever it is, she should never wear a Team Canada jersey again. Yes, it was that bad.

Congrats USA! They don't get the attention Canada women would have gotten on a win but they also don't have the pressure.

none of us have ever been in that position on that kind of stage...................we don't know what we would have done.

It's o.k..........she will learn from it and become a better player.

Shit happens, we had our chances to win that game before that play ever happened, we just didn't execute on several levels to close it out.

It is what it is. We lost.

I am curious what Canada wanted to challenge after the 4th goal.

It was horrible. Even before it left her stick, I knew it was going over the glass.

She had the time to launch it down the middle of the ice... lots of room for error... that was an incredible EA sports like over the glass.

Great game from my US perspective. Such a fun ending.

I hate Canada in all things hockey; they're so good is why. I have to admit that the Canadian women are more talented and I was shocked they lost.

Penalties will always kill you and that is exactly what happened to those ladies yesterday.

Have to respectfully disagree on that. When the US Women won gold in 2018 the hockey media was all over it. The NHL had articles and player interviews on their social media pages for weeks after they won. When Canada won 4 years later, it was pretty much ignored.

I did not realize - I would imagine a much larger percentage of Canada watch it though.
