The Flyers current situation is so strange to me. On paper they have a just below average roster. No big stars, but they have top-6-quality forwards in the top 6 and top-4-quality defencemen in their top 4. Couts being out to start is a big hit, but he's not expected to miss the whole seaosn. And Hart is capable of being a starting goalie. Not a playoff team, but close to the bubble.

But there's just no confidence from any fans, inside or outside their fanbase. It's like the whole hockey world has just agreed "ya, that won't work." I can't remember a team people believed in less.

their D core hasnt worked since before the bubble.... Prov and Risto just arent the Dmen they were expected to be. Sanheim is alright. DeAngelo doesnt play D. Cam York is still young.

Hayes and Frost as your 1-2C is probably 32nd in the league. Atkinson, Konecny, Farabee are 2nd liners.

Not much hope for them, imo.

Sharks ranked #28 is a joke. And I refuse to participate in this poll after that abomination

Carey Price might still return. With a healthy Price and Habs squeaking into playoffs - they have a shot.

None of these other teams do.

With Couturier out, their highest paid forward is a guy who’s hit the 50 point mark just once in his career (and not for the Flyers), and makes over 7 million. And he’s followed up by another guy who makes 7 million and has never hit the 50 point mark for them. They might have top 6 quality forwards, but they’ve only got 1 top line forward and he’s hurt

It's almost like they were at a similar spot to another Canadian team, hmm and Alberta Canadian team actually

It just seems a little strange calling a team the "29th favourite." Wouldn't they just be 4th worst? Or 4th most likely to win Bedard?

Montreal for me
