Posted it on the main board thread, but the narrative is that they are hot going into the playoffs...yet on their last 10 they are 6-3-1, 3 losses to playoff teams and only one win against playoff teams. They had a really easy schedule to end the year.

So here we are, in all honesty, I thought the Celtics would have the season the Bruins had & the Bruins would be battling for a wild card or 3rd in division.

Like many of us here, felt many heartbreaks since the days of Mr. Orr mostly from the hands of the Habs. That being said, if a team beats our Bruins in a 7 game series, I will bow my Bruins hat to them. I cannot see that happening, we should have a very very happy summer folks. Go Bruins !!

If the Bs play to their potential they win in 5...Fla. has a ton of talent but team defense isn't something they execute very well

i was hoping the Bs could avoid the Islanders for three reasons- a goalie who could steal a series, a grind it out low scoring style and forwards who are big and hit to hurt.

Monday can't come soon enough

It's funny going back to our last game against the Panthers to try and get a sense of what to expect, then you look at the box score and we had Foligno, Greer, Forbort, Smith, McLaughlin all in the lineup who likely don't even play this series. Not even comparable to our roster now, and we still only lost 3-4 in OT.

And we gave up a goal with 1 second left in the 3rd after about 5 botched failed clears

Paul Maurice may be one of the most mediocre coaches in the history of the NHL. There is no excuse to lose a series to a team coached by him. Over 1800 games coached by him and he's barely over .500 in the regular season and well below .500 (.446) in the playoffs). Took over a 1st place team that won a huge trade in the off-season and still only got them barely into the playoffs on the backs of a hot minor league goaltender and an easy schedule to close out. Quarter-century of Maurice-coached teams and I still couldn't tell you what style of coach he is. Is he an offensive-minded coach? Defensive-minded? All these years later I have no idea.

Once again, there is no excuse to lose a playoff series to a Maurice-led team. None.

Everytime Maurice gets hired i find myself thinking how tf does this guy keep getting jobs? He's always underwhelmed me no matter where he's coached and always seems to be one coach who somehow manages to get less than you expect out of the roster given to him.

People will cling to whatever narrative fits their agenda. No looking at the facts, that just gets in the way lol.

terrible matchup. hope to win in 7
Why do you say that? Florida has no d and the goaltending is suspect. I don't see a upset here.

Are the Bruins D-corps not in their prime?

How about the Bruins starting goaltender?

There is also this Pasta-guy, best RW on the planet. Current franchise player. Also looks to be in his prime.

Sergei Bobrovsky is in his prime? Do tell.

I thought the exact same thing when he got hired last summer by Florida.
